Enema (Simple Basti)
Medicated enema that cleans the colon and relieves constipation
A single medicated enema, given on its own rather than as part of a full Basti course, for constipation and heaviness.

- Bloating
- Heaviness in the abdomen
When this therapy should not be done
- Diarrhoea
- Bleeding piles
- Acute abdominal pain
- Pregnancy
Tell us about any of these at the consultation. We will suggest something else that suits you.
Before you come
- Eat lightly two hours before
- Wear or bring clothes you do not mind getting oil on
After the session
- Rest for 20–30 minutes
- Warm bath once the oil has settled
- Warm water through the day, no cold drinks
