Cold wet cloth wrapped over an area to reduce inflammation and fever
Cold wet cotton covered with dry wool over the abdomen, chest or throat. Simple, old, and reliably effective at bringing down local heat.

- Throat complaints
- Local inflammation
When this therapy should not be done
- Chills
- Severe weakness

Before you come
- Eat lightly two hours before
- Wear or bring clothes you do not mind getting oil on
After the session
- Rest for 20–30 minutes
- Warm bath once the oil has settled
- Warm water through the day, no cold drinks
