Targeted herbal steam through a tube for stiffness and poor circulation
Steam from a herbal decoction is directed through a tube onto one area rather than the whole body — used where a single joint or muscle group needs heat.
Traditionally used for
- Localised stiffness
- Joint pain
- Muscle spasm
When this therapy should not be done
- Pregnancy
- Acute inflammation
- Bleeding disorders
Tell us about any of these at the consultation. We will suggest something else that suits you.
Before you come
- Eat lightly two hours before
- Wear or bring clothes you do not mind getting oil on
After the session
- Rest for 20–30 minutes
- Warm bath once the oil has settled
- Warm water through the day, no cold drinks
