Abhyanga अभ्यंग
Warm herbal oil massage that relaxes the body and mind, and improves circulation
Synchronised full-body massage with warm medicated oil chosen for your dosha. Abhyanga is snehana — internal and external oleation — the preparatory step that loosens accumulated toxins from the tissues and moves them toward the digestive tract, where the main Panchakarma procedures can remove them. On its own it is also the single best therapy for daily stress, stiffness and poor sleep.
How the session runs
Dosha-specific oil selected and warmed · Rhythmic strokes along the direction of hair follicles and joints, two therapists on request · Followed by steam (swedana) to open the channels · Rest and warm water
